Our applications use a Data Warehouse, or central database architecture, with a number of different databases or data sets. And multiple presentation layers based on channel requirements. This could include a rich HTML interface for web visitors and possibly also the incorporation of windows media technology for downloads, or streaming of music or video content.

The Call Centre will access the same application, but in order to maximize speed the presentation layer can be downgraded in terms of interactive content. The Customer Relations Managers access an Intranet or server (that is housed on the same premises) but still accesses the live payment gateway via the Internet.

A Voice XML interface is provided for automated services, which operates using our ASP (Application Service Provider) infrastructure. The presentation layer has added voice prompts to ensure that the voice recognition engine understands the customers varied ways of pronunciation. A different presentation layer is designed for print such as Acrobat format downloadable brochures. A WML (Wireless Modeling language) interface is designed for mobility .An open XML interface for iTV and ASP.net (Active Server Pages) interface for Kiosks and other applications.

Over the years we have designed unique viral marketing tools such as “Tell a friend”, “Reminder services”, and campaign management tool called HTUwww.smartcontact.co.zaUTH that enables our customers to initiate 1to 1 SMS or e-mail campaigns and analyze campaigns online.
